• 13 January: 1515 UTC: 15685 kHz: WWCR-1 Nashville TN USA Good to fair reception. English to Europe, Middle East, America. Female speech, female singing with piano accompaniment, male speech regarding religion. 'Prophetic Word' / 'House of Yahweh'.
• 13 January: 1530 UTC: 15715 kHz: Voice of Hope (High Adventure) Strong to good reception. English to Middle East via Juilich, Germany. Religious broadcast, male host, passages from the Bible.
• 13 January: 1540 UTC: 15745 kHz: WEWN Global Catholic Radio Strong to good reception. English to Europe via Birmingham, AL USA. Catholic religious programmes, male preacher offering blessings, repeated by the congregation, speech over music.
• 13 January: 1810 UTC: 17650 kHz: World Harvest Radio Strong to good reception. English to Africa via WHRA-5 Greenbush ME USA 'Whole Truth Broadcast'. 1830 UTC ID, new programme, reading Matthew.
• 13 January: 1849 UTC: 17830 kHz: BBC World Service Good reception. English to West and Central Africa. Male host with a report regarding markets in the US, Canada, Mexico. Economic migration including Mexicans in California.
• 13 January: 1905 UTC: 17895 kHz: Voice of America Good to fair reception. English to Africa via Botswana 'VOA News Now' Stories in depth: Kabul toured by reporters. Report from Skopje.

• 13 January: 1922 UTC: 18910 kHz: Herald Broadcasting Syndicate Strong to good reception. English to Africa via WSHB, Cypress Creek, SC, USA. Church service, male with readings, contributions by female.
• 27 January: 1021 UTC: 9710 kHz: Fundamental Broadcasting Network Test transmission to West Europe via Sitkunai, Lithuania (100 kW). Male preacher praising Jesus, Female with contact details: F B N, 520 Roberts Road, NEWPORT NC 28570 USA fbn @ clis.com also fbn @ bmd.clis.com also 9370 kHz. Music. Strong to good reception. To 1034 UTC.

February 2002: Shortwave

• 23 February: 0950 UTC: 11675 kHz: Radio New Zealand International Good to fair reception. English to Australasia, interference from broadcast in French language. Close of 'Desert Island Discs' Sue Lawley, Mike Harding. "11 O'clock, Radio New Zealand news": Angolan leader dies, Swiss aid worker shot in Somalia. Stranded ship, Tony Blair in NZ.
• 23 February: 1010 UTC: 15175 kHz: Radio New Zealand International Good to fair reception. Bird call signal, music, female with ID, broadcast to peacekeepers from New Zealand in East Timor. 'The World in Sport' Male and female hosts, New Zealand cricket tour of Pakistan. Rugby Union: All Blacks & England to tour Pacific Islands.
• 26 February: 2126 UTC: 3915 kHz: BBC World Service Fair reception. English to South East Asia via Kranji, Singapore 'Newshour'.

• 26 February: 2152 UTC: 3965 kHz: Radio France Internationale Strong to good reception. French to North Africa (RFI 1 Afrique) via Issoudun, France. Male and female hosts, music 'Megamix' programme to Africa, speech of music, albums, off air abruptly at 2156 UTC.
