• 15 June: 1903 UTC: 12060 kHz: Voice of The Mediterranean Excellent to good reception. English to Europe via Moscow 'Contemporary Mediterranean Writers' The writer is Andreas, who is a guest in the studio. 'The Wonderful World of Opera': 'La Traviata' To 1930 UTC.

• 23 August: 1858 UTC: 11900 kHz: Radio Bulgaria Opening signal, ID by male and female voices, times and frequencies. Excellent to good reception. English to Europe. News: Bulgarian tobacco sale / merger.
