Peoples Millions Result!

VIEWERS OF ITV BORDER will have seen the appeal for the Brough Community Fund on 'Lookaround' during the evening of Wednesday 15 November 2006, with the result on Thursday 16th.

I'm pleased to say the Brough Community Fund raised a higher number of votes than the opposing project, a footpath in Brampton. During the day of Thursday 16th, Tim Backshall of ITV Border travelled to Brough to present a cheque for £50 000 to Keren Jane Steadman, Secretary of the Brough Community Fund Committee, and Edward "Chris" Christopher, Chairman, at a packed Brough County Primary School. Well done to all concerned!

The Ashes are GO

THE WINTER 2006 - 07 Ashes series has begun. If I tried to record all the events here, it would definately take a while. Take a look at both sides of the fence, visiting Cricket Australia and England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) by clicking the links provided.
