August Bank Holiday DX and a midweek wallpaper

MONDAY 30 AUGUST 2010 was a Bank Holiday (public holiday) in the UK, so I used the morning to listen to some of the highest frequencies on the Short Wave band and here are the results:

  • 0925 UTC, 17490 kHz : China Radio International. English to Europe, Africa, Asia, Australasia via Kashi, China. 'Beijing Hour'.
  • 1019 UTC, 17510 kHz : All India Radio - General Overseas Service to Asia and Australasia. Music of the SubContinent.
  • 1030 UTC, 17540 kHz : China Radio International. Chinese language service.
  • 1049 UTC, 17720 kHz : Radio Pakistan. Urdu / Tamil service up to 1100 UTC, followed by news in English for four minutes.
And that is what I heard on the Short Wave band.

Wallpaper of the Midweek

I have decided to publish the view of Morecambe sea front unhindered by football results. Enjoy.
