Season 2017/18: The Season So Far - Part 8

WELCOME to the Easter weekend, with this post being composed on the evening of the final day of March 2018. Carlisle United Football Club's fixtures for March have been completed; The final fixture of the month played twenty four hours ago on the afternoon of Good Friday - Yep, we've made it to that bonkers Bank Holiday fixtures time of the season. April 2018: Fixtures

Season 2017/18: The Season So Far - Part 7

FEBRUARY has been quite a busy month for Carlisle United Football Club, the fixtures for the month have been concluded and the look ahead to the springtime fixtures of March and April are what the Club are concentrating on now, with the possibility of reaching the League Two play-offs in May, for the second consecutive year.
In a moment, the fixtures for March, but first, the results for February.

February 2018: Results

Saturday 3rd: League Two: Wycombe Wanderers 4 - United 3
Saturday 10th: League Two: United 1 - Colchester United 1
Tuesday 13th: League Two: Notts County 2 - United 1
Saturday 17th: League Two: United 2 - Chesterfield 0
Tuesday 20th: League Two: Barnet 1 - United 3 [Rearranged fixture from January 6th]
Saturday 24th: League Two: Yeovil Town 0 - United 1


March 2018: Fixtures

Saturday 3rd: League Two: United v Grimsby Town (3pm)
Saturday 10th: League Two: Exeter City v United (3pm)
Saturday 17th: League Two: United v Crawley Town (3pm)

Season 2016/17: The Season So Far - Part 10 (The Finalé)

THE forty six League Two matches had been completed. Carlisle United Football Club finished the season in sixth place. Carlisle United qualified for the League Two Play Offs, which were scheduled as follows:


The first leg was United v Exeter City at Brunton Park, Sunday 14 May, 6:30pm.

Sunday 14th: Sky Bet League Two [Play Off]: United 3 - Exeter City 3  (Attendance: 9708)

The second leg was on the evening of Thursday 18 May, 7:45pm at St James Park, the home of Exeter City. With the aggregate score of 3-3 from the first leg, this second leg would be a winner takes all match.

Thursday 18th: Sky Bet League Two [Play Off]: Exeter City 3 - United 2  (Attendance: 7450)

Exeter City won the second leg 3-2 and took the tie 6-5 on aggregate.
Carlisle United's season has ended; Exeter City will face Blackpool at Wembley Stadium for a place in League One. Blackpool defeated Luton Town in their Play Offs.

Easter Monday's Final Scores.

EASTER 2016 is drawing to a close and with it the March 2016 fixtures for Carlisle United Football Club. April now remains as the only full month for fixtures, with the final day of the season being May 7. Here are the results from March 2016:

  • League: Tuesday 1st: United 2 - Leyton Orient 2 (Attendance: 3721)
  • League: Saturday 5th: United 1 - Northampton Town 4 (Attendance: 4892)
  • League: Tuesday 8th: Dagenham & Redbridge 0 - United 0 (Attendance: 1695)
  • League: Saturday 12th: Exeter City 2 - United 2 (Attendance: 3375)
  • League: Saturday 19th: United 1 - Wycombe Wanderers 1 (Attendance: 4532)
  • League: Friday 25th: Yeovil Town 0 - United 0 (Attendance: 4075)
  • League: Monday 28th: United 3 - Bristol Rovers 2 (Attendance: 4718)
On the evening of Monday 28 March, following the home victory against Bristol Rovers, United are ninth in the Division; four places off the play-off places.

OCTOBER was a month of League games for Carlisle United Football Club, with three home and three away games over the course of the month. Here are the results of those six fixtures.

League : Saturday 10th : United 2 - Morecambe 3 (Attendance: 5303)
