My DX Archive: Autumn 2006

ANOTHER short post I'm afraid, possibly from the times when we had loads to do.
My DX Archive is a continual post, bringing you my logbook of radio broadcasts heard over previous decades.
The previous post, My DX Archive: Summer 2006, featuring logs from June and July 2006, can be found here.

Prior to posting broadcasts heard, some housekeeping notes: Times in UTC (GMT), frequencies in kiloHertz (kHz). Transmission power in watts or kiloWatts (kW). Logs transcribed from the original notes.

September 2006 : Shortwave
  • 6 September [2006]: 2017 UTC: 4820 kHz: Xizang PBS, Lhasa, Tibet. Fair to poor reception. Beautiful music, Chinese speech.
  • 6 September: 2044 UTC: 5000 kHz: WWV Fort Collins CO USA - Time Signal station, Colorado. Excellent to good reception.
November 2006 : Shortwave
  • 17 November: 2145 UTC: 5875 kHz: BBC World Service Good to fair reception 'Newshour' Owen Bennett-Jones. Favourite buildings. Tom Cruise married Miss Katie Holmes today.

Apologies for the short post, but I do hope you have found of interest.

Thank you for visiting Reporting From The Fox Tower.
