  • 27 December: 1914 UTC: 1197 kHz (Medium Wave): Voice of America Good to moderate reception. Interference from Virgin 1215 which also uses 1197 kHz. Programming: Men who kidnapped school students to fly to Iran have been arrested, Korea, explosion: UN base, Somalia, Germany sees increase in attacks on visitors.
  • 30 December: 2130 UTC: 1179 kHz (Medium Wave): Radio Sweden Strong to good reception. News headlines: Österland link at risk. Report from "The Guardian", EEA [European Economic Area?] in force from 1st January 1994. "Sixty Degrees North" programme.

  • 29 January: 2315 UTC: 1368 kHz Medium Wave: Manx Radio Good to poor reception. 'The Late Show' Music from Nat King Cole, presenter: Chris Price, who mentions a lady in Colwyn Bay, who enjoys the music of Nat King Cole.
  • 30 January (Sunday): 1725 UTC: 1179 kHz Medium Wave: Radio Sweden Strong to good reception. Programme 'Sounds Nordic' the Swedish singles chart: Bryan Adams, Rod Stewart & Sting 'All For Love' at No 1. An interview with staff of 'Interface', a Swedish computer magazine. Visit to a music museum.

February 1994
  • 10 February: 1715 UTC: 1179 kHz: Radio Sweden Strong to good reception. Thursday's edition of '60° Degrees North': Is it wise for the UN to bomb Sarajevo? News with Jim Downing. Serbs could be bombed. Interview with Swedish Prime Minister. Committee reviews possible entry to the European Union. Serbs should give up arms, but bombs may injure serving Swede troops.
