Season 2018/19: The Season So Far - Part 1


UNDER the managerial team of John Sheridan, Tommy Wright and Paul Murray, Carlisle United have completed their fixtures for the month of August, which will follow in a moment.
In this post, I will also bring you the fixtures for September, bring you some Carlisle United video from the archives courtesy of Twitter, and bring you a new development in women's football this season. Enjoy.

Manchester United Women join the FA Women's Championship


Now playing in the second tier of women's football, the Devils recorded their first win of the season with a cup win over Liverpool. Their league season begins away at Aston Villa on Sunday 9 September.

My DX Archive: Winter 1995-96

PAST the mid-point of August 2018, the football season is back and (spoiler alert) today's Premier League matches are underway; Manchester City have recorded a 6-1 victory over Huddersfield Town.
Away from football, the Settle - Carlisle Railway has today hosted Engine number 60103 - The Flying Scotsman - What a pleasure it was to see the engine on the line. I must, when I have a picture available, share here on the blog!
