IMAGES from the 21st Cumbria Easter Rally, Saturday 20 - Sunday 21 April 2019, which featured vintage commercial vehicles, exhibitions, free bus rides between sites in Kirkby Stephen and Brough, local shops, display stalls, crafts, food and drink and the road run via classic bus on the Saturday evening.

| England Women celebrate winning the SheBelieves Cup. |
CONGRATULATIONS, albeit slightly belatedly, to the England Women Football team, the Lionesses, who competed in the SheBelieves Cup in the United States recently and have come home as Champions!
The SheBelieves Cup is contested by the USA, England, Brazil and Japan.
England's results in the tournament were as follows:
Wednesday 27 February: England 2 - Brazil 1
Saturday 2 March: USA 2 - England 2
Tuesday 5 March: Japan 0 - England 3
The next tournament for the Lionesses is the forthcoming Women's World Cup.

| The Upper Eden Eagles |
CLOSER to home, meet the Eagles!
The Upper Eden Eagles are the Senior Ladies Rugby team of Upper Eden Rugby Club, based in Kirkby Stephen. Upper Eden Rugby Club had a ladies team some years ago, some of which went on to play at a higher level. The ladies team took a break for some years, until autumn 2018, when the Eagles were formed.
Early fixtures were with the team joining other Cumbrian based teams, to sharpen their skills on the field, a tactic which has paid dividends, as the Eagles have recorded victories in virtually every fixture, including their recent home debut at Pennine Park, Kirkby Stephen, where the Eagles recorded a 66-0 victory over Lancaster University.

WALLPAPER of the Week is a visit on the B6270 to Tailbridge Hill, Nateby, the view is to the northwest and to the fore is a stone cairn. This image was captured 20 September 2016 at 1330 in the early afternoon. To add what you can see in the distance: The town of Kirkby Stephen can be seen to the far right of the shot; The village of Nateby is centre, though slightly obscured by the peak of the cairn and to the left is the view towards Ravenstonedale. Further into the distance are the lakeland fells. Enjoy the image.

INTRODUCING Amy Willerton to Reporting From The Fox Tower - Amy is a former Miss Great Britain and a Miss Universe Finalist (2013). Amy stepped into the national spotlight when she appeared on ITV's 'I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!' Amy then made the big step into television presentation, as well as modeling, with a move to the United States, where she became the presenter of 'Every Little Step', which reached seventy five million households in the United States.
Amy has also featured in the British television series 'The Jump' - Amy was the winning female of the series. Amy's modeling work continues, voted the fourteenth 'Sexiest Woman In The World' by FHM.
